Owl Know How

real-coverOwl Know How is a 32 page children’s book published by Thames and Hudson in 2012. Illustrated with lush photographs of cuter than cute rabbits and fluffy, colourful owls all handmade out of felt in their cardboard city.

The story is about solving problems. Big problems that can only be solved with the help of owls. Cornelia Rabbit uses her owl-know-how to save her cloud city from falling into the treetops. Check our gallery to see what the inside of Owl Know How looks like!

The book comes with a pattern for creating a little owl of your own. You will find additional instructions to help you along in our FUN section.

Owl Know How was a winner of the inaugural Most Beautiful Book Award and also nominated for a Book Industry Award alongside the likes of Graeme Base and Mem Fox!

You can read some nice words people have written about OKH here, here and here.

ipad-corneliaWe converted the pages of Owl Know How into an iPad app thanks to the brilliance of Oliver Marriott. The app includes stop-motion animated scenes, sweet music by Billy Whims and a narration by Cat and Isobel. You will also find the OKH film in there as well as a story on how the book came about. Find it in the iTunes store.

We are also lucky enough to have had the Storybox Library film the wonderful Clare Bowditch reading Owl Know How for their site.
